First they were nice … and then … IT HAPPENED!
I got to meet LeVar Burton at Megacon! I was the last person he saw at the con just before the end on Sunday and he said, ‘They saved the best for last! Look at you!’ and came over for the photo. I did not squee or make any weird happy noises until he was gone. Yay me! ^__^
Reblogging because today is LeVar’s birthday! Thanks for being so awesome & hope it’s a wonderful day spent with family & friends <3
Hey guys! I’m a recognizable character now! YAY!
I re-tailored the vest from an old woman’s button down - I still have to add pockets and hem up the bottom to make it more square. The shirt collar and sleeves were completely re-worked. All I have to do left on that is add some bias tape to the collar for a cleaner finish.
I’m so happy I found the boots at a local value village - something with the same Han Solo look + slightly feminine, but completely practical for a spaceship captain. The pants and bloodstriping are holding up fine - those are my favourite part <3
You’re amazing! I love you and your costumes!
I am going to give you SUCH A HIGH FIVE for this costume at ECCC! Looks AMAZING.
This is Princess Dead Pool. My 3 year old told me EXACTLY how she wanted the costume to look and walked me through the entire thing, bossing me around. It was so much fun.
Always reblog Princess Deadpool.
OH MY GOOOOOOD
That is one badass little kid.
Last year I went to a small conn cosplaying as genderbent!Ash Ketchum and let me be honest with you: it was one of the most fun cosplays I ever wore! I was glad most people recognized me and asked for photos and made good-hearted jokes <3
